We believe that each decision in the project development and delivery should seek to adhere to the following criteria:
A clear Community Focus should be evident in that it is central to the vision that as many project steps as possible should be owned by communities and that project outcomes should impact individual lives
Low cost and appropriate methods will be employed throughout the project to maximise dissemination of the relevant field, laboratory and IT techniques.
The project will seek to capacity build both in terms of technical knowledge and in terms of community understanding of the vision.
Communication, through public awareness, community-based opportunities and the project website, will be a central element in sharing the vision and ensuring the project impacts as many communities and individuals as possible.
Ensuring the project is liked to other relevant partnerships in the region [for example Tear Fund] will assist the capacity build.
Identification of key individuals who will own the project vision and will communicate and manage the project development.
