Mapping landslide hazard & risk
Product: Maps showing relative landslide risk for the primary road network and selected urban and agricultural areas.
Slope inventory data maps are being generated by the MoSSaiC project that will provide a graphical illustration of landslide of relative landslide risk for slope sectors.
Those slopes that are judged to have the highest relative risk from the slope classification inventory methodology will then be analysed using the CHASM slope stability software to provide a more specific analysis of risk.
The MoSSaiC project will thereby achieve a mapping of landslide risk which will assist in the prioritisation of further analysis, slope maintenance and the potential allocation of both physical and financial resources in the context of extreme rainfall events.
