MoSSaiC is working with the Poverty Reduction Fund, St. Lucia to develop documents that will be available island-wide to help Community residents appreciate steps that they can, as individuals, undertake to help improve slope stability conditions, particularly in urban areas in. Such information sharing is becoming increasingly important to help sensitise communities to issues and to provide a firm basis for their understanding of [and input to] subsequent policy decisions.
Public awareness approaches are particularly well developed in Hong Kong, PRC and Indonesia; MoSSaiC is looking closely at developments in these countries in this area to ensure current best practice is followed wherever possible.
