A pilot prgramme of landslide risk reduction was implemented in the Fond Cole Community, Roseau, Dominica. There were many properties at high risk from landslide occurrence in this area. Construction of properties on former landslide zones together with poor surface water management make for potentially expensive relocation costs. Managing this risk in a low-cost, community- based programme was undertaken in 2006.
