The hydrological conditions on slopes likely to worsen slope stability conditions are a central feature of the Community-based discussions and the accompanying literature MoSSaiC has developed for distribution island-wide:

to a more regulated drainage environment, either by 'hard' engineering [concrete lined drains]....
or 'soft' engineering solutions [currently being trialled by MoSSaiC]. It is hoped that 'soft' engineering solutions can be available to a wide community base given the expected low cost of implementation and the relatively rapid construction time.
